• I installed one in my daughters 2010 mac mini. It fit and worked fine. Just be careful to pay attention to the temperature sensor wires. Read about installation on I fixit .com

• yes it will. Mac Minis take 2.5 inch hard drives. 2.5 inch drives are built for laptops but that's exactly what Apple uses in Mac Minis.
