This question was sent referencing the 1 terrabyte Samsung 860 EVO SSD. If you get the 1 TB drive it will have more space than your 256 GB drive. The 860 EVO line includes a 256 GB model that would be roughly the same size as your current drive. So pay attention to which size drive you buy. I just checked the HP site - not sure which model Omen you have but the 256 GB model that I saw comes standard with 256 GB M2 SSD "stick" but there is an option to get a 1 TB SATA HDD. It looks like you could keep the M2 stick in place AND add this SSD drive too - even more space. Search for a You Tube video on upgrading a HP Omen or replacing the SSD - The one that I saw showed that there is a "dummy" hard drive inside with a cable attached - so you shouldn't have to get a new cable.
