• Yes when you flip the keyboard around backwards and use it as a tablet it renders the keyboard and trackpad disabled.

• When I used my Chromebook Plus in tablet mode, the trackpad automatically was disabled and the cursor disappeared from the screen.

• Maggie, I would have to guess that the YT Plus video was of a defective unit. I just tested mine and the touchpad is disabled. And I know that I have 'touched the touchpad' in the past while in tablet mode with the cursor not moving.

• The keyboard and trackpad both turn off when flipped to any other mode except laptop mode.
