Whatever you do, don’t purchase malware. No, you don’t have to purchase anti-virus (or anti-malware) software. This runs off of Linux and google is constantly updating their operating system. This laptop works more like a smartphone (similar processor structure), and you wouldn’t need that software in that situation.
