“Can the upper oven's fan be turned off to bake as a conventional oven? Convection ovens are not always suitable for baking. I do quite a bit of baking. I wandered if the fan can be turned off to create a conventional type oven or if there is any other options.”

Hi BBlair, The upper oven in the NE59J7850WS relies on the convection fan to circulate the heat created by the broiler; since there is no heating element in the bottom of the upper oven only Convection Bake is available. The lower oven, however, can be set to Bake with or without the convection fan. Of course, when in single oven mode, all functions are available, including non-convection Bake. It's worth noting that convection is often the preferred method for baking since it circulates heat more thoroughly so cookies, for example, brown more evenly. Thanks for your question! Ms. Samsung

The lower oven and the whole oven without the partition may be used as a Conventional Oven. The manual recommends lowering the temperature 25 degrees to accommodate conventional oven recipes. I bake a lot and lower it 25 degrees. It is a must when using the top oven for baking breads, pies etc.

This has happened before and it’ll randomly go back. I can’t wait for it to decide when it’s going to work. I’ve tried many things but nothing works. Any help? I also have the same issues with everyone else about temperature control. I had a GE oven that was the same style with no issues. I haven’t had one time with accurate heating throughout the oven.
