Yes, because the phone is unlocked. France provider like Free,has SIM you can buy cost last time I bought, is 19 Euro and good for 30 days.. good also for the US after you return home, I assume you live in the US. Only bad thing is after 30 days, SIM expired and you cannot refill money to keep using it from the US.
