Short answer, for Verizon, is no.

Verizon is very strict about using their prepaid plan eligible plan phones with “regular” plan phones. I’ve never understood that. My husband just wants a very basic non-smart phone and, for now, the only option in our area is an Alcatel flip phone that he really hates after 2 months of use. And that’s another thing. Why are different phones available in different parts of the country? My family members back East have different options than we have. Thus the switch to T-Mobile.
