• A:Answer It is $299 with a contract. That means you sign a 2 year contract with Verizon and they pay it down to $299. The phone is much higher in price without a contract. So your contract pays for most of the phone price. It has been this way for many years. So it is new. Or you can pay full price and not have a 2 year contract. Either way you end up paying for it. Hope this makes sense. Contact a store for more details.

• A:Answer Not sure, but at Christmas time, I remember when Walmart was pushing the Straight Talk, they were showing a Samsung 7 or maybe an earlier model that you could start with, so I am pretty sure you could use it with Straight Talk. It is an expensive phone if you buy it outright though, but well worth it in my opinion. I love mine.

• A:Answer You can turn off mobile data but if you don't connect to a wifi network it's just a paperweight. You can turn it off by pulling down on the notification screen should open up and you should find a button that says mobile data, click it you'll turn off your data.

• A:Answer I chose the contract option because I have no interest in switching carriers, so I paid $299.99 for the phone. Yes the TV was really free. We walked out with it the same night I got the phone. They scan it just like a regular purchase, but the price you pay is $0.

• A:Answer Before I got a case for the phone, I had a tendency to cover the speaker with my pinky while talking...I guess it was just the way I hold my phone and didn't' realize it (because it's so thin), but since I got a cover I feel better holding it, I guess it's more comfortable. Sound is good , but I've been told while on speaker it was hard to hear me on occasion. I hope that helps...:(
