There is a home button at the bottom, however, it is hidden. It has the haptic feedback I believe it is called. You press firmly and it vibrates. It is convenient.

Yes and No. No physical button to be felt, or to have screen protector go around. Yes its built into the screen subsurface and indicated by a icon as well as the back arrow and opened apps icon. These icons take up the lower 5/8 of the screen and hide them self while watching video content,plus come back at a press of the finger.

It does have a home button but it's embedded under the screen. It's essentially in the exact same place that a physical home button would be. And you press there just like you would a physical button. Once the phone is on, it's a virtual home button on the bottom of the screen.
So basically, the phone operates the same way it has with a physical home button. I hope this helps!
