• Verizon has a $30 "added profit margin" charge for upgrading because they can, and it helped Verizon offset the discount that just ended. The upgrade fee remains, though. It is still a highly rated phone by reviewers for the prerelease version. This is still my preferred choice, despite the jump in price since yesterday. I am waiting for a Black Friday sale and to see reviews after it has been out a while. Best Buy is a better deal than going thru Verizon directly, of course.The Best Buy insurance copay for repairs is the same, about $200 last time I checked.

• If you are referring to the $100 off it is for new lines or upgrades. I just upgraded mine and received the discount.
