There are WiFi only models which I bought that have no SIM card. There are models that do have SIM cards and they are locked. That being said, you may be able to get the unlock code from the carrier if you ask them for it. I would take it in to your carrier and have them help you unlock it if they are willing.

It does not use SIM card. It is not a phone. It is a tablet computer.

This model is WiFi only and cannot use a cellular connection.
