It is my understanding that "SQUARE" or the software square.com uses either Email or Text Messages via your SMS on your phone to send receipts to customers . With this TAB A model, there is no network connection to your phone provider. If you are trying to use the TAB a to sell your products via Square you might get by using a HOTSPOT on your phone and connecting the TAB A to your phone. Otherwise you will need to purchase the TAB A model that has a subscription to your phone service and pay for the extra line. If you are trying to receive receipts from Square on the TAB A you will need a WiFi connection or HotSpot on phone to connection to the internet. I hoped this helped.
