I personally dont use the nook app, but Kindle app works fine so i would expect it to work the same way. I replaced a kindle fire with this tablet. The quality is great, i stream tv to it when on the go.....hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sure, I've been using Nook books for years. I have Nook on both my Note 8 and my new Tab A. The screen is great for reading and the Tab A's processor is fast, so there's no delay when you have more than one app open. As to downloading books from your library you didn't mention what system your library uses, but I've seen many different systems used by libraries and they all seem to work well on these tablets. The Tab A uses Android 9, which is just two years old so you shouldn't have any trouble with any system used by your library to check out books and read them.
