With today's technology, most keyboards are, "wireless", aka, they are NOT connected to a tablet via any wires. 
These keyboards are mostly made to be compatible with both android and apple devices, but u should always double check. 
Since this is an android tablet, please ENSURE THAT THE WIRELESS KEYBOARD U BUY IS COMPATIBLE WITH ANDROID.

Wireless keyboards require batteries or charging via a charging cable & wall adapter.

Wireless keyboards are extremely simple to operate.
There will be a slide button or tiny knob that slides to one side which will both power on ur wireless keyboard & also enable/turn on the wireless keyboard's bluetooth. 
NEXT,
Go to the settings app within ur tablet and turn on/enable bluetooth for ur tablet. 
You will now see a list of bluetooth devices to select from; select the device which is your wireless keyboard.
