“I was told i could use my USB sticks/scandisk etc with this and when i received it - well no usb slot- I never had a tablet- sooo i ordered a adapter and the plug in was too big- anybody know what fits with this tablet- nothing?”

Buy an OTG cable. Search on the big A. Cost around $3-4. The one I have has a USB input and an ethernet so I can plug directly into the router.
