“I want to use this with the Navionics App for navigation on a sail boat. I need the GPS to work without wifi connection. Any comments on how the GPS works? Has anyone used it in this manner? Thanks”

If you have a cell phone go under settings and then turn on your own personal hot spot. Then key in the password into your tablet it should work. If your phone do not have the personal hot spot to utilized then get one from Best Buy called personal hot spot and utilized that.
