Can u call and text on galaxy 5 watch? null

YES! I do all the time when I'm not carrying my phone, But only within 30 meters. Get LTE feature if you don't carry your phone and further 30 meters away!

Yes so long as the watch is linked to your phone always. There is an option to link to same wifi network so you can still call/text if you are away from your phone
