I does and it works very well. It knows when I nap vs. sleep. When it refreshes in the morning and updates date the s health app gives me a graph of my sleep that night. Restless, light sleep, and deep sleep. Pretty cool. No need to set features and always tell it you're sleeping or whatever. It knows. Just turn on "sleep" in the setting on the app, not the watch.

Yes it does automatically on the gear after like 15 min more or less when you wake up. Also if you have it link it to Shealth it will show it there as well. Take care
