Customers enjoy the Gear Fit2 Pro for its fitness tracking capabilities, waterproof design, user-friendly interface, and compatibility with Samsung phones. However, they express concerns about its short battery life, occasional inaccuracy in step counting, and water resistance issues that may void the warranty.

I am so in love with the device, very please with my purchase. I usually use fitbit but those seems to break easily so I decided to try a different brand. The only reason why I won't give five stars, the battery life is not that long; have to charge every 1.5 days. Other than the battery it is a very good device.

This is my 3rd gear fit. Since I was in a car accident I can no longer stand the sound of a ring town on my phone, so being able to feel the vibration on my arm is great. (As long as I can find where I put my phone down) The auto reply to text messages is awesome when a simple preprogrammed or predictive text answer will answer the message.

The only problem I have with it is that I have not yet figured out how to change the temperature setting from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Or if it is even possible. Other than that it's a great little gadget.

This waych didn't last long at all. I only used it a handful of times and took excellent care of it, when i noticed the band lifting a bit i assumed that it just need to be replaced. Upon further inspection i could see that the whole thing crumbled and had an extra part, this band looked as if someone glued it together and added a small spring to keep ot together. I will have someone more knowledgeable look at items before i buy from Best Buy again.

Had to debug alot of the software to get it to work properly. Now it does alot to record my heart problems and send that data to my Dr. for analysis. Glad I have a device to show the Dr. What is really happening.

While on a nice morning walk, I stopped to check the time and noticed my watch was missing, had it on when I left and retraced my steps until I found it laying on side of sidewalk on the grass, the band had literally come unglued from the face. Closer inspection you could see where it was glued on. Grrr on happy, cheap band, but had I did get a whole 6 months use out of it and it did perform well during that time

I love this watch so much. It looks beautiful and I get all what I want for fitness. Just a little complain about battery but its not a problem for me. I put it on charger every night and it is good for all day tomorrow. Very simple and easy. Thanks bestbuy for carrying good products as always.

The fitness/smart watch is great for what it is intended to do. Mostly a fitness tracker with some smart watch features. The auto detect for workouts is spot on even though at times it thinks you are doing another type of workout. Gives great notifications only thing missing is a way to reply more specific as the only way is the default replies like yes, no, ok, etc. Battery life is around 2 days depending on what you use the watch for, the more features or times you use it the faster the battery wastes. Sleep tracking is spot on even though it doesn't track it through heart rate like fit bit does. The fact that you can save music from your phone or even from spotify to listen away from your phone is awesome for the gym.
At the end of the day it just isn't for me nothing to do with this device it's just the whole smart watch fitness tracker thing. I love classic wristwatches and yes sounds weird because this is why you get something like this but the constant notifications to keep looking at your wrist started getting annoying. Nothing beats a classic watch still to this day which only means we aren't completely there yet on smart watches. If you are looking for this type of device then get it, just isn't for me. 4 stars even though it wasn't for me it's intended purpose is top notch.

Great Fitness Track For The Everyday Athlete

I’ve had a number of different fitness tracking devices over the years and have had some great ones and not so great ones. I have had the Gear Fit 2 over the past 8 months and enjoyed it but I really disliked one feature: waterproof. So naturally I was very excited when they announced the Gear Fit 2 Pro with a waterproof design and swim tracking capabilities. I’ll add I’m using this tracker with my Samsung Galaxy S8 so I’m not sure how it is on other phones. Here are my Pros & Cons so far:
Pros:
- The display on this tracker is beautiful. Really easy to tell what you are looking at and easy to use interface
- I really enjoy the GPS tracking and it can better tell how long my runs/walks were or how far I biked
- The heart rate monitor is simply and will monitor throughout the day to give you more feedback
- They upgraded the clasp on this model to be better for swimming. It is more like a watch clasp which is more comfortable and has little chance of falling off. I found my Gear Fit 2 model falling off a lot as it had a different strap design.
- The fitness tracking is perfect for the “everyday athlete” as I mentioned. I know other fitness trackers are really heavy duty and can do a lot for you but I think the Gear Fit 2 Pro will meet the majority of peoples needs. It tracks steps, distance, floors, calories throughout the day but can detect when you are really working out and will be more focused in during that time. A feature I use a lot is tracking activities using their profiles. You can have it truck you walking, biking, curling, running, or whatever very easily.
- I sit at a desk during the day and it will alert me when I haven’t moved in about an hour which I like.
- Finally, the waterproof and swimming tracking is worth the upgrade to me. It works great in the water and to me having a waterproof tracker is great as you never have to worry about it getting broken when around water or even in the rain.
Cons:
- Weather apps can only update using location through your phone. The tracker has WiFi and GPS so I’m not sure why it needs the phone for that.
- If you have Auto Heartrate on it will monitor HR throughout the day which I like. However, it omits a bright green light when it does so which can be annoying in a dark place but if you have the strap tight to your wrist you do not notice it much.
- The battery life is only 2-3 days from my use which is pretty short in my mind.
Overall I am very happy with this new upgrade. I think its great for people who like to workout everyday. Whether its lifting, running, crossfit, basketball, soccer, biking, or swimming. I think most everyone would enjoy this.

I'm coming from Fitbit Charge HR for more smartwatch functions and potential offline music playback.
First of all, this watch stopped charging about 2 weeks after I got it. I have exchanged it at Best Buy and am waiting for the new one to come in.
Fit/Design: light, comfortable fit, seems well made. I find that the band doesn't fit very well -- one hole makes the band too tight, but loosening it by one notch provides too much slack.
Battery: With always-on display, it's supposed to last 20 hours; without always-on display, it's supposed to last 2 days.I find that the battery does fine until it hits 50%, at which point it drops rather quickly compared to 100% down to 51%.
Summary: I use fitness/sleep tracking data rather casually. FYI, there is no speaker, all notifications are via vibration. When it is working, it's the best smartwatch out now.

This is my 2nd Samsung gear fit watch. I have the gear fit 2, a nd gear fit pro now.
My favorite part is its water proof. Bttery lasts me roughly 3 to 4 days, keeps track of my steps and floors well. Sumsungs periodic updates are always nice, especially with battery life.
I loke how easy the display is to read day or nite, and the smallness of the watch.

Brighter, with constant heart monitoring, and ATM 5 water resistance makes this attractive BUT the battery life will last you 2 days if you take advantage of these options (excluding that ATM 5 rating) but it adds a ton of features and partnerships which take away from the "life cost" if you were to take advantage of the partnerships, but all in all, the battery life just wont convince me to recommend it to a friend

It's good nice screen, very vivid colors. But like previous ppl have reported the battery is not Great... I turned off GPS, only have some apps on for notifications, screen brightness to 7, constant HR and it'll last day and half at best. You can't use the sleep tracker because if you don't charge it overnight it'll die for sure the following day. I bought this after owning Garmin Vivid which works fine battery lasts for days so in the end I may return this and keep my Garmin....Get this if your into name brand but battery is really deal breaker

This is the Gear Fit that I have been waiting for. I have been a die hard Fitbit Surge user for the last 2 years. I switched from the Microsoft Band, which was great. Fitbit products are great, but they have grown stale and don't include some of the important information that the Gear Fit 2 Pro does.
The GF2P now does continuous heart rate, so when I'm doing my cross-fit style workouts, I just set it to 'other workout' and it tracks pretty well. Over the weekend with 3 different workouts of 60+ minutes it came in a little higher on the heart rate peak (compared to the surge) and the calorie burn was lower (which I don't think is a bad thing. Just means I need to work harder). I really like the fact I can review previous workouts (stats and charts) right from the device, which you can't do with the surge. You can also view a map of your run right on the device.
It is really light and I barely notice that I'm wearing it. I know use my Gear S3 during the day and a gear fit 2 pro for workouts, and Samsung Health auto switches the devices and combines the steps for me.
Looking forward to testing out the waterproofing and hope that it holds up.
Only negative for me so far is that because it is plastic and light, it feels a little cheap.
You get a lot of features in such a small device.

Very pleased with this fitness watch. Only problem is if you are sitting and doing excessive movement with your hands it counts that as steps.
