“I also am a Microsoft Band user (the Band 2). MS has discontinued their product so I'm looking to purchase this item. Does it have a reminder/stop watch/timer feature like the band does? I'm assuming it will pair with any android phone?”

Yes. This replaced my Microsoft band when it broke.

I "believe" without looking that there is a stopwatch feature on the menu when you tap the home button while on the home screen, but i don't use it very often so i'm not 100% sure. "Reminder" - it has notifications from your phone (anything that can run gear manager and samsung health, android phones - if you can download those and have comptatible bluetooth, should work) so you should get calendar reminders from your phone, it also has inactivity reminders, but sadly these are 'stuck' at 50 minutes, you can turn that on/off but you can't change the time period.
