Yes, you can take or make calls....BUT. You will need to find a Carrier like Verizon and they assign it its own phone number for $5.00 monthly. Calls are great. If you forget your phone and have call forwarding...you will receive calls and you can make calls too. Talk to Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T Mobile.
