I paired mine with a Note 4 and it appeared to function just fine. The only thing that threw me for a loop at first was setting up Samsung Pay, since the Note 4 doesn't fully support that in its current version. I'm guessing that with a newer phone, there is a Samsung Pay app. I couldn't get it to load/install on the Note 4 EXCEPT through the Gear App. There was an option to get into Samsung Pay from inside to set stuff up. Not sure how it is different on a newer phone, but it did eventually work. Well, I was able to connect one credit card to Samsung Pay just fine. When I tried to connect a second one, I kept getting the error that the App didn't have a network connection. That just wasn't true because I had an LTE signal available and I was connected to my home WiFi. Must have been some kind of glitch. I tried 4 or 5 times over a day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Im more than certain it would after instaling all the required applications.
