Hello, Will the Galaxy J7 fit in this device? null

According to several tech sources...No. While it may 'fit', it doesn't have either the software nor the Gyroscopic Sensor required for it to work with the Gear VR. You would be better off buying one of the cheaper aftermarket 'VR' headsets if you just want to watch movies.
