Yes, it can. May need an adapter if you want to mount in the HD mounting area. This is a 2.5” drive and most HDD are 3.5”.

yes, I have one installed as the boot disk on an i7 desktop and it greatly improved performance over the 3.5" hdd it replaced

Just get a 1" Velcro round "dot" and stick it to the drive and onto an internal case surface. the 2.5 to 3.5 adapters are not really worth the effort. No screws, easy install and removal.

Yes, if your motherboard has SATA connections on it(check mfg). I would suggest that you use a sata III cable if you would like the benfits
