I was obsessed with buying SSD's for a year or so. This one was a steal. I bought it when the prices of GPU's skyrocketed because of bitcoin mining. How's that relevant? Well, people were also big on building gaming rigs and liked to buy SSD's as a major upgrade to standard 7200 RPM Hard drives, thus momentarily caused a price increase (on some websites) and/or caused the price of SSD's to remain at its MSRP for a very long time. Anywho, got this thing refurbished for $80 (plus tax) when the price brand new was in the ballpark of $149.99 - $169.99 plus tax. This particular one, I actually threw into my PS4 Slim and it DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. The only knock is against Sony as the console (hardware) bottlenecks the speed of this thing. I did a side by side comparison with my brother in law's PS4 Pro. My PS4 Slim loads games at the same speed, and at times FASTER than the PS4 Pro. Yes, 500 GB is VERY little storage in today's society, especially when 1 game requires up to nearly 200 GB (with DLC packs, etc). Anyways, I love this thing. I own a second one in my gaming PC. So long as you are running Windows 10, boot times are phenomenal. I highly recommend this SSD specially if you can snag one at a killer price.

Leary because of other reviews but I got mine and all looked just fine. I put it in my desktop and had no problems. All is well and might end up spending on the 1tb refurb. IF something is wrong just take it back to BB.

I honestly JUST received mine in the mail, but after viewing the S.M.A.R.T. information from CrystalDiskInfo, for $98 this is an absolute STEAL! Here is some of the info: Total Host Writes: 465 GB Power On Count: 17 count Power On Hours: 1 hours Honestly, this is a great price for this SSD. I will update this review if I run into any issues.

I purchased this SATA Solid State Drive to replace the hard drive in my old MacBook Pro. It's been working great. My computer not only has a lot more memory but it also runs a lot faster. I'm so happy that I was able to extend the life of my old computer.

This is one the best SSDs you can buy. It's extremely fast and durable. The SSD I received had less than 700 GB written on it previously. It was basically unused.

Received the Refurbished SSD 500 Gb Drive. The drive wasn't recognized by the computer. Visited Best Buy to check the drive, they wanted to charge me $40.00 to verify the drive, Make no sense, why I have to pay to check a drive that was supposed to be in working condition. I will never buy a refurbished item from Best Buy, it is clear to me that the drive wasn't tested properly. They told me you should buy it new.

I was skeptical about purchasing a refurb hd, but the content on it being lost isn't important to me but paying less money is. I use it for my xbox one as an external hd to load games faster. It does have a little faster load times and like i said, I just save games on it so, if it goes bad I can easily reload the games on a new one and my progress is saved in the "cloud."

I had purchased a brand new version of this ssd before. It didn’t disappoint. This review is on the refurbished samsung ssd 500gb. I bought it at a steal. It was on sale cheaper than anywhere (in store and online) at $90 (+tax). It was a little over $105 shipped. I am using this in place of my 500gb hdd on my ps4 slim. Aside from my slow internet speed (AT&T), the in game load time is cut in half. If I had faster internet, it would load even faster but I can’t complain. I plan to pair my old hdd as an external storage via usb 3.0 for my ps4. I will eventually have an upgraded 1tb ps4, including this 500gb ssd. I highly recommend this upgrade for ps4 owners, however it takes a very long time to reinstall all games/saved data (even with PSPlus). The ps4 powers on extremely fast, shuts down extremely fast, switches between apps (netflix, youtube, games) extremely fast. Thank you BestBuy for this amazing buy!

Wow, what an excellent ssd this is. It is super fast, and is very easy to install. And a BestBuy certified geek squad refurbished item is exactly the same as a new one. Full warranty, plus I saved a ton of money.

If you haven’t upgraded to an ssd drive I highly recommend you do. It’ll instantly add life to a slow pc. Samsung is the best ssd maker in the business

I always trust refurbished from best buy! This drive is super fast and works like a charm. Great load times on video games, applications, boots in less than 5 seconds.

I bought this for my Asus ROG laptop and works really well. Read and write speed is good. Can't even tell if it was refurbished.

this SSD is very close to new with very little time expended on it. It must have been used to boot up a couple times for about 25 hours.

I seldom buy from BB; but these SSD's are a tremendous value. Very low hours on them an they work great.
