- Answer I purchased a different model Samsung SSD from Best Buy that was refurbished. It had exactly the same warranty and a new one.

- Answer Yes, it can. May need an adapter if you want to mount in the HD mounting area. This is a 2.5” drive and most HDD are 3.5”.

QuestionDoes the fact that it is a certified refurbished affect the performance of the drive at all? I need to know if there is a difference between this and a new one in terms of overall lifespan and performance of the product.

- Answer The difference between new and refurbished at Best Buy has nothing to do with condition or warranty. It may have been returned unused for many reasons like a torn box for example. It is just like buying brand new, except the price is reduced.
