Yes you are able to message people from your watch you can use voice to record and ill type it out for you or you can write on the screen the message. To call you can go into the contacts on your phone and you can call out but you still need a headset or your phone for the cause but you can send a call out from your phone you'll give you a message see your phone hope this information helps
