nope...no port forwarding required...so long as you have the smartcam app on your device, you can view your camera anywhere in the world

I am on FIOS, I do MAC authentication so I had to enter the MAC address to my router for the wireless. It is hosted through Samsung. Works well so far without any issues. Hope this helps!
