This was one of my concerns and why I didn't go with the Nest. It really depends on how much video you view remotely. This camera doesn't upload unless you are viewing. Probably won't be an issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I doubt a 10gb plan would be adequate for a camera like this. You setup, configure, and view everything about this camera through the Samsung SmartCam website. The amount of data transferred over the Internet would be a lot. How much exactly would be impossible to predict. It is definitely a device made for unlimited data plans. However, you could configure the camera to record to the local micro SD card and then remove the card and install it in your PC to view the videos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has an internal SD card, so it doesn't continuously stream to the internet, only when you are watching it or there is an alert, so internet usage should be minimal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's too hard to answer. The device itself uses a very low amount of bandwidth to register with its server, but if you are regularly viewing it remotely (say from your smartphone while at work), it will use bandwidth to stream the feed. This is an HD camera, which means it could send HD images, which uses more bandwidth. So, during the time you are watching it, you could be using the same type of bandwidth you'd use watching Netflix or YouTube for that same duration of time. I'd also add that most of the traffic from this camera will be UPLOAD, whereas, most traffic people do is download. If your package allows 10 up/10 down, then you'd have nothing to fear. If it was 10 combined between upload/download, you may want to use it sparingly. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is an HD camera and I assume it uses as much data as viewing any other streamed HD content for relative time periods. Used sparingly, like checking recorded events would be like watching very short segments of a movie or other streamed content. This is all under the assumption that its content is not streaming while you are not monitoring it on your cell phone. A question for Samsung's tech support.
