Agree that the price point may be a bit higher but the components and flexibility also seem to be a step up from the SimplySafe line. The ADT package seems most similar to the Economy SimplySafe package which is about $260. I think the touchscreen and having the ability to use any Smartthings component with the app seems like it may be worth another $140...which is what I paid on sale ($399.99)...though I realize you are limited to the ADT/Smartthings components if you want to control via the touchscreen and ADT monitor the system.

This is not an ADT system, it is SmartThings monitored through ADT. No subsidized, no contract. Simplisafe is cheaper of course and looks like it. This includes a SmartThings hub build in to perform automations as well.
