• You don't have to program anything. The blu-ray player detects the difference between Blu-ray disks and DVD's automatically.

• Plug an hdmi cable in the rear of the dvd player, then plug it into the tv hdmi plug, turn on both units, put dvd in player, press play on dvd controller. Check t.v setup for hdmi number that you plugged the dvd player into, make sure you pick that number. Enjoy!
