  • QuestionIs this compatible with iPhone 12pro

    Asked by Thanks.

    • Answer Yes, the Samsung 45W charger is compatible with the iPhone 12 Pro, but there are a few details to consider: 1. Compatibility The iPhone 12 Pro supports USB Power Delivery (USB PD), which the Samsung 45W charger also supports. This makes the charger fully compatible for charging the iPhone 12 Pro. 2. Charging Speed The iPhone 12 Pro has a maximum charging speed of 20W via USB PD. Even though the Samsung charger can provide up to 45W, the iPhone 12 Pro will only draw 20W as it is the phone's hardware limit. Conclusion: The 45W capability of the charger won’t provide any additional speed for the iPhone. 3. Cable Requirements To use the Samsung 45W charger with the iPhone 12 Pro, you will need a USB-C to Lightning cable, as the iPhone does not have a USB-C port. The USB-C to Lightning cable must support USB PD to enable fast charging. Apple’s original cable or MFi-certified cables are recommended for the best performance. 4. Use Case If you already own the Samsung 45W charger, it will work fine for the iPhone 12 Pro. If you’re purchasing a charger solely for the iPhone, a smaller and more affordable 20W charger (like Apple’s 20W USB-C Power Adapter) may be a better option. 5. Charging Time Using the Samsung 45W charger with a USB-C to Lightning cable, the iPhone 12 Pro will charge: 0% to 50% in around 30 minutes (via 20W fast charging). Fully charged in about 1.5 to 2 hours. Summary Yes, the Samsung 45W charger is compatible with the iPhone 12 Pro. However, the iPhone will only utilize 20W of power, so the charger’s full capability won’t be used. You’ll also need a USB-C to Lightning cable for this setup.

  • Questionwould this charger work for a Samsung Galaxy A20 or any samung galaxy phone, or compatable for all galaxy phones !??

    Asked by jared.

    • Answer The wall plug has an USB-C connector. The included cable is Usb-c to Usb-c. You may need adapters to plug in different devices, but depending on device and said adapters or other cables, you may not receive full featured speeds/charging rates.

      Answered by Yuro

  • QuestionWhat transfer speed is the included cable rated for? i.e. 480 mbps, 5 gbps, 10 gbps?

    Asked by Sabrejack.

    • Answer The cable included with the Samsung 45W charger is typically rated for USB 2.0 transfer speeds of 480 Mbps. Here are the details: Transfer Speed of the Included Cable The included USB-C to USB-C cable is primarily designed for power delivery rather than high-speed data transfer. Rated Speed: 480 Mbps (USB 2.0 standard). This is sufficient for basic tasks like transferring files to/from devices but not ideal for large file transfers or high-speed data operations. Why It's USB 2.0? The cable prioritizes compatibility with charging protocols like USB Power Delivery (PD) and PPS (Programmable Power Supply) to support up to 45W charging. High-speed data transfer (e.g., USB 3.0 or 3.1 speeds like 5 Gbps or 10 Gbps) would require additional shielding and internal wiring, making the cable bulkier and more expensive. What If You Need Higher Transfer Speeds? For faster data transfer: Use a USB 3.1/3.2 Gen 2 cable for 10 Gbps speeds. Use a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 cable for 40 Gbps speeds (if supported by your device). Ensure the cable is marked as "USB 3.0/3.1/3.2" or "SuperSpeed" and check the specifications for the transfer rate. Summary The included cable supports 480 Mbps (USB 2.0) transfer speeds. If you require 5 Gbps or higher speeds, consider purchasing a separate USB-C cable designed for faster data transfer.

  • QuestionWhat does it mean that the 45w charger is reversible so u can charge it at either end. Isn't the end of the c cable that plugs into the charging plug larger like on any standard charger?

    Asked by Michele.

    • Answer This charger doesn't use the typically large(end that plugs into the charger) and then USB-C(small end) into the phone or tablet. Its a USB-C to C! Both ends of charging chord are the small type.

  • Questiondoes this work for a Samsung a51 phone or is it not compatible?

    Asked by Oldguy1970.

    • Answer Yes, the Samsung 45W charger is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy A51, but there are some important details to consider: 1. Compatibility The Galaxy A51 supports 15W Adaptive Fast Charging, which uses the USB Power Delivery (USB PD) 2.0 protocol. The Samsung 45W charger supports USB PD and PPS (Programmable Power Supply), so it is fully compatible with the A51. Conclusion: It will charge the A51 without any problems. 2. Charging Speed Even though the charger is rated for 45W, the Galaxy A51 only supports 15W fast charging. The phone will limit its power draw to 15W, so you won’t see any faster charging speeds compared to using a standard 15W Samsung charger. 3. Use Case The 45W charger can still be a good option if you want a universal charger for multiple devices (e.g., a laptop or newer Samsung phones that support 25W or 45W charging). However, for the A51 alone, it may not be cost-effective since it won’t utilize the full 45W capacity. 4. Cable Requirements Ensure you use a USB-C to USB-C cable with the charger, which is typically included with the Samsung 45W charger. Summary Yes, the Samsung 45W charger works with the Galaxy A51. The A51 will only charge at 15W, so you won’t get any added benefit from the 45W capability. For optimal value, consider a more budget-friendly 15W or 18W charger if you’re only using it for the A51.
