The T7 Shield is compatible with the Xbox Series X but only for archiving/storage, you will experience issues playing games directly from the drive.

A:AnswerYou can use it as the drive for your system backup. I have one I use for Time Machine and it works fine.
There is no software on the drive to repair a system.
A:AnswerCheck what file system your other drives are formatted as (since your media player recognizes them) and then try formatting this SSD with the same file system.

A:AnswerIt hasn't happened yet and we use these for offloading after filming 4K footage and also create a backup using the original so that's a pretty heavy use for 3-4 hours oftentimes.
That being said, we don't like the thermal material because we can't label it (nothing sticks to this weird material). So we have to use paint pens.
A:AnswerIt doesn't "care" what data you put on it. It comes formatted as exFAT with three files stored on it:
Samsung Portable SSD SW for Android.txt
SamsungPortableSSD_Setup_Mac_1.0.pkg
SamsungPortableSSD_Setup_Win_1.0.exe
Feel free to reformat it to whatever file system is ideal for your intended application.
