Not that I'm aware of still can't get mine to work.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it does not need the hub. It only needs to be in range of your wifi signal and must be setup by smart phone, tablet with the app. It is not hard to setup, but directions aren't the best. You must download the Samsung Smart Home App...NOT THE SAMSUNG WASHER APP. Go figure on that. Only works starting remotely if you Select Smart mode on washer. That will lock door, but you can turn off add clothes and select again for remote start. It will however give you status when washing in manual mode. Why not turn your washer into the hamper? Just add softener and tide pods, or any other detergent. Set smart mode and start by phone tablet when you will be home by cycles end. Yes it has a timer, but if you get home earlier or later...not the best choice. Lastly when if smart mode you can change settings...Steam,deep steam,towels,normal,temp etc...big time saver in my book.
