You will most likely have to remove the phone from its case to use. I have a ruggedized case on my Note 9, and the port looked large enough, but was hindered from properly plugging it in. It may sound like a hassle, but worth the result.

I had to take my Otterbox cover off my old phone to transfer the photos to the SanDisk. There are different SanDisks for the type of phone you have. The sales person will be able to help you find the correct one.
