I have a large screen (60 inch) on feet. Using the strap in question, the tv may lean to the side with the broken leg, but it will not fall to ground

Yes it should hold the tv. Mine has feet instead of a bar so the assistant told me about the strap easy to install and gives me peace of mind. Pretty strong straps.
