You should be able to do that with the adjustment screws as it looks like it gives you about 1 inch to 1.25 inches of adjustment but the directions say that they are used for leveling not specifically for lowering. Best thing for that would be to redrill holes 1 inch down and remount. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the question. The leveling feature using the screws allows for smaller adjustments in order to level the TV after installation. The amount of leveling available won't be enough to cover the inch gap between your TV and Beam.
