Should be fine. The wall bracket attached to two studs with the provided hardware provides a sturdy support. The directions state you can slide it anywhere along the length of the bracket. The bracket looks to be steel and is rated to a capcity of 150 lbs. My 75 inch tv is 101 lbs. A 65" would be less than 2/3 the rated load carring capacity of bracket. Enjoy wayching your new tv.
