“I'm wanting to mount my 65 inch tv with this mount. I only have one stud I can mount it to (see attached picture). Only a 31" space between stone and the one stud is right in the middle. Will my 65" tv that weighs 48lbs hold on one stud?”

I have ran into the same situation many times and you can definitely make it work. Make sure you get 2 lag bolts into the stud and use 4 SNAP TOGGLERS or Sanus SSMK1 kit to support the outer corners of the mount. If Best Buy doesn’t carry the SSMK1, you can purchase SNAP TOGGLERS from Lowe’s. The SNAP TOGGLERS are rated to support the full weight of the TV in just Sheetrock but the lag bolts will ensure the mount will not fall if the Sheetrock gets wet.
