“will this mount allow for an inch or two of articulation? Tilt sideways to view from a little to the side I don't need it to extend outward much more, but I think a little sideways articulation would do the trick Sony BN64”

Yes it pulls out about 6 inches on each side which allows you to easily turn it a bit to the left or right for better viewing. It also will tilt down about 3 to 4 inches and easily stays in place where you want it. This is a very good mount for the price.
