Yes, the flywheel spins very quietly and this bike does not require a huge amount of space. We have a sunroom connected to our master bedroom and my wife and I can get up early and ride without disturbing each other's sleep. The footprint of floor space need is very reasonable... we use a space of about 4 feet by 5 feet, but could be somewhat less if needed.

He sit is a quiet bike. If it’s not then something is wrong and you should return it for another bike. I had that problem and my second one is super quiet.
