It is easy to use. The cautions I would have are that the seat is a racing style saddle so it is narrow. The flywheel is heavy and there is no handbrake so you have to slow with your legs while still on the pedals. If you stop pedaling while at speed the inertia of the flywheel will give you a bit of a push. Last the bike seated position leans over in a spin style meaning you can’t really sit up tall with your hands on the handlebars.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I'm in my 70’s and I find it very enjoyable to use. It is very solid and the tension control is smooth and quiet. The only concern should be getting it to the space where it is to be used and assembly. It is quite heavy to move around. Assembly was not too bad but close attention must be paid to the instructions to ensure all is correct.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Schwinn IC4 id definitely a good bike for senior citizens provided they are in good physical condition. I am well into the senior citizen category (over 80) and find it perfect for my needs. It is not for someone who is physically limited however. It is for serious exercisers. i use it mainly when it is too cold to ride outside on my road bike.
