“I got this for Christmas. It worked 3 times and now won’t. It says in my iPhone I am connected. It works to charge my phone, but no actual sound comes out. I’ve re-paired the device but nothing. Any way to troubleshoot?”

Try a different frequency than the normal default one. Depending on the signal strength of your local towers determine the quality of the sound you receive! Hope this helps!
