That depends what you mean by compatible. You can certainly install this drive in the same system with the Deskstar if you have a free hard drive mounting rail. Then you can use the Seagate drive wizard software to format it and set it up as a drive on your system. I'm not sure you can make the two part of a RAID array or stripe data across the two of them since they are different sizes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is also a SATA drive with the same dimensions. Confirm your computers BIOS supports very large drives before purchasing. Also note drives as large as these may take hours to format for the 1st time.

Any compatibility issues would come from the SATA controller in the computer/device and the hard drive. I have used mixed brands in RAIDs and desktop computers without issue in the past. Some manufacturers have their own 'branded' hard drives, with unique or special firmware, to communicate with motherboard sensors for cooling and diagnostics (e.g., newer Apple iMacs), but another branded drive itself should not interfere with this one. This isn't like matching RAM specs for interleaving, and may only be a factor if I/O speed matters on a rig, like a video editing station where 'green' drives mixed with high-performance drives may not be a good choice.
