• The Xbox one elite uses an ssd drive. If you want that performance buy the 512g ssd game drive not the 2tb hdd game drive. But the answer is yes if you do.

• Yes. It is just as functional and even more practical since you can just plug it into another console, literally taking your whole digital game library with you.
