“I don’t understand I have owned 2 now and they both have somehow corrupted the files and then the Xbox won’t recognize the hard drive. I have tried to format them and they won’t and you all wouldn’t take the 1st back which lasted 3 months barely used.”

You should contact Seagate and see if there one year limited warranty is in effect still. Just a suggestion from a customer who bought one.
