Yes. I transfered data from both another external drive and direct from my PC.

Please try again later.you can plug your portable harddrive right into the 3.0 usb port on the personal cloud and using your laptop in the network systems to drag it to the personal cloud... it still takes a lot of time and make sure you check that all files transfered over and it still does take alot of time to do. this was one reason i decided to return this moving my 2 tb hd to this 5 tb was a pain in butt and very time consuming

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I copied the operating system and certain other files to it before I installed it in a refurbished PC. I used a dock with Sata connection to connect it to another PC to pull off the files I wanted on this ssd drive.
