I have had several cloud devices in the past, but this device has been the easiest to set up and most reliable yet. It also works extremely well with Mac and Windows-based products which has been stated to be true with others but realistically they have difficulty with file management with Mac. This one has been flawless. Recommend!

I needed backup storage for DVD, CD and photos mostly.. This was only slighter more than the 3TB size in price, which is what I went in the store to buy. Once set up, it was easy to access files through my laptop and my phone and tablet. I tried the app on my Samsung Smart TV, and it worked! I was able to stream music! Good purchase.

THIS A GREAT DEVICE BUT THE SETUP IS BIT MORE COMPLICATED WHEN TRYING TO USE THE DEVICE FROM A REMOTE LOCATION. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ALSO VERY VAGUE. STORAGE-WISE NO COMPLAINTS SEEMS TO HANDLE ANYTHING YOU CAN THROW IN IT.

Purchased the item in order to have a network backup and I'm very happy with performance and reliability. The only flaw maybe the lack of a USB 3.0 port to connect it as a USB External HDD. However it does have a USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports to connect other devices.

The 5G for the price is a good value. The configuration tools are simple to use. I would prefer more configurability, but this is a consumer device so ease of use is higher on the priority list for this product.

Connecting this device was a breeze. I literally plugged it in and it worked without any need for configuration. Android and iOS support is really good. I can access my data worldwide from my phone and tablet. Laptop access is great on your LAN, but for remote access you need to be on at least Windows 8 for PC (not sure about Mac). Windows 7 support is bad. I feel like the sync tools could be a little more advanced. It gives you basic access to config sync, but if you are technical/advanced you may be frustrated by the lack of access to an advanced config. Mostly you don't need it though since it really just works very well out of the box.

This was easy to setup as a file server for common family files like music, pictures & videos. Also has a program to make it easy to backup my cellphone. Worth the money. Many features I don't use but may in the future.

This was Christmas gift for a relative who loves Apple products. So, it had to just work and needed Plex. It did both without a hitch. Now, all of those macbooks are backing up with this as a timemachine target and they can stream music and movies within and away from the house. I was really impressed with the performance and offline transcoding. If you need a NAS for storage only, I'd recommend the WD My Cloud for apps and speed. If you're in this price range and need Plex support, this is one for you! Enjoy!

I love the access from anywhere. The hard drive is easy to setup and can be used a multitude items for streaming. I have streamed off of my phone, xbox, and all the operating systems on computers. I also have a large digital movie collection so I enjoy having the 5 TB of storage.

Very easy to install and very reliable product. Definitely recommend this product.

Although the setup is complicated, this device works very well once it's up and running. Keep in mind, it will take you time to set this up, especially if you're adding multiple users and groups to the device; which is a great feature that individuals can have their own login and private space on the drive, as well as shared/public spaces/folders.

This network drive is a excellent buy. The price is very reasonable for a 5 TB drive. It was easy to connect to my network and have performed flawlessly.

This product is very user friendly. It allows you to access the drive from your phone and incorporates great apps to improve the experience.

I received a 3 TB as a birthday gift from my wife and by the time I went to setup the device, the 5 TB device was on sale for less the the price My wife paid for the smaller solution. I promptly exchanged the 3 TB for the 5 TB device. Setup was very straight forward with easy network connectivity. Ripping movies to load is time consuming but once loaded, I have access to my movies, photos and music anywhere that I have internet access. Excellent solution for anyone who wants an affordable cloud solution.

Drive seems fine. No major issues. Slower wifi access than expected, but could be my wifi and not the hard drive.

Is ease to implement and very good for safe use like personal cloud .
