How much memory are you using? The 1TB External Hard drive will help but you might want to consider splitting up you Data/memory to more than one place. Like using Dropbox, Cloud and this device if you need to transfer files not on the internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I only use Thunderbolt external hard drives with my iMac. LaCie Little Big Disk Thunderbolt™ 2 is my working drive and LaCie Rugged™ Thunderbolt™ is my backup and portable. They both handle RAW files and 4k video editing just fine.
