Quick description on BB site for this device: "Access important files at home and on the go with this Seagate Personal Cloud STCR5000101 external USB and Ethernet hard drive, which offers a personal Cloud with a 5TB storage capacity for secure file sharing, streaming and remote access."
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This NAS device has one RJ-45 1GB ethernet port that connects to your router. The router will assign it an IP address and make it network accessible by other devices such as windows PCs, smart TVs, Roku, smartphones etc.. There are two USB ports on the device that allow other USB devices to connect and add additional NAS storage, be used for backups etc..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello. These drives do not have a network adapter built into them but if you have a modern router you can plug them in via the USB ports that are built into the router. That way you can access them on your network without having to purchase a USB to Network adapter.
